1. Top 3 Fashion Blogs

Jan 27, 2016

Since welcoming social media into my daily routine, I noticed how apps and sites such as Instagram and Twitter and Facebook have played a significant role in bloggers' lives. They are without a doubt some of the most influential people in the realm of social media and fashion bloggers especially have gone to be leaders in the industry. As brands began to partner up with them for advertising campaigns, I began to see that these marketing efforts created an opportunity for brands to reach a wider audience through digital means.

For me, I thoroughly enjoy reading fashion blogs much for inspiration and so here is a list of my top 3 fashion blogs I believe everyone should check out.

1. Song Of Style
   Founded by: Aimee Song

Aimee Song is an LA based blogger who also works as an interior designer. Her blog initially was centered on interior design but started to gain popularity after her outfit posts received good responses and thus it was changed to a personal style blog.

For a long time, I have looked to her for fashion inspiration, always interested to see her latest outfit. She's known for mixing patterns and textures and her style is a mix of high-end and contemporary brands. She's collaborated with brands such as 7 For All Mankind, Fossil, and Levi's and travels extensively whether it is for a international fashion show or for a PR event.

The one thing that I and many of her followers respect is her way of branding herself and her blog. She' often seen with her Chanel boy bag or Jimmy Choo heels but many of her blog posts are centered around her unique way of pairing these luxury accessories with a Zara coat or a pair of J.Crew boyfriend jeans.

Her achievements are greatly recognized and she is currently mentioned in Forbes 30 Under 30 annual list.

2. Grey Layers
    Founded by: Jeanne Grey

Jeanne Grey is a NYC based fashion and lifestyle blogger known for her minimalistic style. In my opinion, she's quite under rated but many of her followers know that Jeanne often collaborates with lesser known brands, especially with e-commerce. She's partnered up with sites like Boohoo and 2020ave.

She's got a unique look to her in that she's known for her signature grey cropped bob and her chic, black and white fashion. Not only do I adore her no-fuss, monochromatic fashion, but her clean and minimalistic aesthetic shines through her photos whether she is visiting showrooms or visiting her favorite coffee shops in Manhattan.

3. Feral Creature
    Founded by: Eugenie Grey

And lastly, my third favorite blog to visit is Feral Creature, or Eugenie as she is known to her friends. She is also an LA based blogger and she easily stands out amongst other fashion bloggers with her confident and unique fashion choices. Her grungy yet chic street style has garnered enough attention internationally from Vogue Italia to Nylon Japan.

Her "I don't give an eff," personality clearly shines through her choice of outfits - she is notable for appearing on the streets dressed from head to toe in black, wearing clothes from Alexander Wang, Unif, Nasty Gal, and Helmut Lang. Her aesthetic is definitely edgy and lively.

Aside from blogging and working as a brand consultant and modeling, she's experimental whether it comes to hair, makeup, or music taste - Eugenie isn't afraid to take risks and I'm always excited to a new blog post whether it is her documenting her latest hair color or collaborating with a fashion label.

Her business endeavors are also worth mentioning - she has worked close with social media companies such as Instagram, Buzzfeed, and Refinery29 and now has her own lipstick named after her from cosmetic company, Colourpop.
